Introduction to TOEFL®
対象：国内大学受験コースまたはScholars SAコース Level 4以上、LA400以上の在籍生
This course will give students who are new to the TOEFL iBT test an introduction to all four sections of the exam and their respective skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking). Students will cover essential test-taking strategies and skills for each section of the test, having the opportunity to take part in discussions with their classmates. Individual feedback will be provided to students upon completion of the course. This session will not only benefit test-takers but also help those who wish to practice all their English skills. As of Winter 2024, this course has been updated, so students who have previously taken the course are more than welcome to take the course.
本講座は、2024年度夏期講習までの同名講座がリニューアルされたものであり、2.5時間×4日間（13:30-16:00）で開講されます。
授業は全て英語で行われます。

Introduction to Academic Writing ― Paragraph Writing
対象：ES250、ES260 在籍生、または2025年度 ES310、ES350 新規入塾生
英文エッセイの根幹であるParagraph Writing の基礎固めをするキャッチアップ講座です。
英検のライティングテストにも通用する①主題の提示②詳しい説明・具体例の補足③結論部、という３つの部分からなる英作文構成の型を学び、読み手を説得できる論理展開やつなぎ言葉を使った情報の整理の仕方を学習します。授業では、作文執筆、担当講師による添削とフィードバック、さらに書き直しなどの作文演習を繰り返します。並行して品詞の使い分け・接続詞の言い換えなど、使いこなせる英語表現と構文の幅を広げます。
ES250、ES260に途中入塾した生徒や2025年後よりES310、ES350に新規入塾した生徒、集中的に書く技術を磨きたい生徒は奮って受講してください。

Advanced Academic Writing
対象：Scholars在籍の中学生以上の生徒
This course will focus on summary writing and critical analysis, the most important aspects of college-level writing. Students will practice writing clear summaries, developing convincing counterarguments, and quoting and paraphrasing effectively. This class will exercise your creativity while teaching you practical techniques that will make your writing stronger and clearer. Because of the small class size, students will have ample time with the instructor and receive extensive feedback.

English Discussion & Presentation
対象：Level 3以上、またはLA350以上の生徒
This course focuses on an essential skill for life in the 21st century: writing and delivering a speech. First, we will look at speech writing theory. We will dissect famous speeches to study techniques to capture audience attention and enhance spoken language. Secondly, students will write their own speech and get direct feedback from their instructor. Lastly, we will focus on speech production. Students will speak in front of a group and practice important skills such as body language, gestures, and eye contact. We hope this course will help students effectively communicate and express themselves in both academic and professional environments.

- スピーキングの能力だけでなく、他の生徒とディスカッションする能力や言いたいことを効果的に英語で表現できるようなライティングの能力も高めることができた。様々な有名なスピーチも聞き、表現をしっかり学べたと思う。
