This course addresses and reinforces fundamental grammar rules when students are speaking and writing.

This is a 2-hour All-English class that covers grammar, reading, writing, and CLIL**.

This course addresses and reinforces fundamental grammar rules by encouraging students to use correct grammar not just in their written work, but also when they are speaking.
In addition to the weekly in-class reading assignment, students are required to read at least 10 additional books of their choice per term from the library.
The CLIL portion of the class will explore a variety of topics such as health, daily activities, and celebrations with a global perspective.
Students will be introduced to common types of text and learn to start writing independently.

Presentations at this level will focus on the structure of the message as well as building confidence.

At this level, students are expected to spend at least 20 minutes a day at home to work on the homework assigned and to prepare for the weekly quizzes.
Students are also encouraged to access the Friends App where they can practice weekly grammar, vocabulary and they improve their pronunciation through weekly video submissions.
